Dr Pickles is an Australian brand specialising in tattoo aftercare, known for its natural, papaya-based balm that helps heal and protect fresh ink. What began as a solution to poor aftercare products has grown into a trusted range stocked in tattoo studios and major retailers across the country.The Challenge
Dr Pickles operated on a standard Shopify storefront with static product pages and limited bundle functionality. The site offered individual items and preset “Packs,” but lacked an intuitive way to mix-and-match products or cater to wholesale/B2B buyers. Options were rigid, and the user experience didn’t fully support their expanding market.
The Project
Custom Bundle Builder- Introduced a “Mix & Match” feature allowing customers to create personalised bundles, increasing average order value.
- Implemented tailored wholesale pages including an private portal for wholesale clients
- Built a dedicated B2B cart allowing bulk orders. Making bulk orders simple for wholesale clients.
- Redesigned product pages with prominent bundle options
- Optimised user journeys for both retail customers and professional artists improving site flow from home page to checkout.

Dr Pickles saw an 18.06% increase in average order value thanks to a custom bundle builder, improved product pages, and a smoother shopping experience. The new wholesale setup also made it easier for B2B customers to order in bulk, supporting growth across both retail and wholesale.
